"We had the pleasure of dealing with Thom as homeowners that were selling our home FSBO. I know normally a seller would not leave a review of their buyer’s realtor. We really wanted to share our experience with the fine realtor Thom is though! In this process we came across some nice and some not so nice realtors. At times I’d hear things like “ I don’t normally show homes to my buyers of for sale by owners unless they ask” or “Many realtors will avoid FSBO listings, so you’ll have a hard time selling your home.” It was clear some were not happy with me. Not Thom. Thom really shined and stood out to us. It was clear he had no issue dealing with FSBO people because he wanted to show all options to his buyer if he thought it was the right home for them. He is excellent at what he does! He is very knowledgeable about the real estate market in both buying and selling homes. His buyer ended up purchasing our home and the sale of our home went so smoothly. He was patient and supportive to both parties during the transaction and made the entire experience which can be stressful at times SO much easier than it might have turned out with a different realtor. We had a real estate attorney as well. Thom from the beginning reassured me that even though he represented the buyer he wanted what was best for both of us and I truly believe this was sincere after our experience with him. He stayed in touch every step of the way and I always felt informed. He was quick to respond to any questions I had and we definitely felt confident he would let us know when his buyer had any for us. All aspects of the sale from the initial contracts, inspections and closing with the title company couldn’t have gone more smoothly. Not sure if we would do FSBO again. My parents are selling their home FSBO as well and it has been a much more stressful process for them. We had a success story in selling very quickly, but it was a lot of research, hard work and stressful at times with a few other realtors. I would highly recommend Thom Smucker to anyone who is either buying a home or selling a home to secure Thom as your realtor! Such a nice person a super realtor! Thanks so much for making our for sale by owner sale such a good one. We will miss our home a lot and have moved out of the area, but we are thrilled such a nice buyer purchased our home and hope she will be as happy as we were there.
