"Of all the landlords I have ever had, Dan Diller and his surly receptionist are the worst. Water damage to the roof and 1/3 bedrooms in August 2011 was not addressed until November 2011, at which time the outside was repaired and the mildew-damaged, water-stained walls of the bedroom were left untouched, even now in June 2012.
Also, any letters sent from the office were addressed to my roommate and our former roommate, who had moved out months prior, while not including my name at all. It did not appear that the landlord even knew who was living at the residence.
Lastly, when arriving to pick up my security deposit, I was told that I had to wait 30 days from the date of the key dropoff--even though when I moved in and my roommate's sister moved out, that is not what was done. There are numerous other things that I don't have the patience to type, but overall it was a very unpleasant experience. I will be sure to never have such a clueless landlord again for the rest of my days.
My honest opinion is that nobody who is interested in having a landlord that knows what is going on should have a Dan Diller Gallery of Homes property. If you are reckless and want to live uninterrupted, go for Dan Diller. You'll rarely hear from him and even less frequently see him in person. Just pay the rent and you won't even know you have a landlord." - KYLE R.
