"Where do I start as the whole process was great! The best part was that the job moved a week or two ahead of schedule!
It all started when our family wanted to expand. We explored options of moving and we tried and tried to make that process work, but we didn’t like location of other places, features/updates needed to be done with purchasing. After careful consideration, we decided it was time to look into the idea of an addition and partial interior remodel.
We took the time to get a few different quotes from various contractors. One of those stood out to my wife and I more than others. It was for Prime Home Contracting.
It started out by Johnathan coming out and talking through our idea with us. He listened to our ideas and provided a very detailed explanation back to us on what we wanted to do. He didn’t just leave after that, as he took the time to continue talking about the process with us if we would move forward. He explained to us that their goal is to have as minimal of waste as possible and recommended the addition be x by x to prevent us from having a lot of waste material. To hear this was great news, because who wants to throw away material!
Prime Home Contracting came back with a quote which was the most thorough of them all. They provided a breakdown of the cost. The thing that also gave us confidence going forward with them is that they worked with the Ephrata Borough to get proper permits and made sure they supplied everything they needed to begin the project. It worked out that we begin the timeline quicker than originally expected. We were so excited.
When the project began, Johnathan, Dan, Jonah, Brady, and Tommy all worked along side the various individuals from engineers to people who poured the concrete, drywallers, flooring, countertops, working with inspectors, painter, etc.
Johnathan has a great team that works for him. Dan, Jonah, Brady, and Tommy all have a special niche for detail and design. We were greeted each day with their smiling faces. Each of them enjoy what they do. They even had a great attitude the day they were doing the roofing, IN THE SNOW.
Another great thing that they did was building the addition prior to removing our existing sliding glass door. This meant the rest of the house that we were living in would see minimal dust, and debris. They ensured they cleaned up and dusted during each of the steps as well.
They gave us options to choose different options for flooring, countertops & island, roof, etc. This helped us stay within our budget. They also allowed us to do a little of the demo (removing the deck and existing flooring), which helped save a few dollars here and there. Also during the project, they continued to explain everything to us and allowed us to make any modifications when they were on a certain step.
The quality of work was great and it allowed us to LOVE our home instead of listing it and moving somewhere else.
