"Thanksgiving Day 2019 I awoke to my neighbor knocking on our door to inform us that a considerably large pine tree between our properties had broken at the base as a result of the high winds overnight. The tree was leaning precariously on an adjacent tree and pointed straight at our house. I made several calls to various tree companies who offer emergency tree removal service, one of which we've done business with in the past, but failed to receive even a callback from most. The few that did call back were resistant to sending a crew out on Thanksgiving Day and were giving me timeframes of weeks before they could make it out to take the tree down. Of the tree services I contacted, Lanco was the only one who returned my call immediately and seemed to understand the gravity (pun intended) of the situation. Much to my (and my neighbor's) amazement, Daryl and his son showed up at our property that afternoon with a pickup truck, a throw ball/rope and a chainsaw and proceeded to cut/drop this tree down in sections. When other tree removal services blew me off because of the holiday, Daryl answered the phone, put off his Thanksgiving Day plans and showed up to deal with the problem.
