"As a local, I have heard of this lake often but never been there. I am glad I finally took the opportunity to check it out. It’s a nice lake and it is larger than I thought! The park is very nice too. It has a secluded feel with a nice view of the lake. There are pavilions and benches. It also features a nice walking trail that encircles the lake with great views. From personal experience, I recommend arranging to complete the trail loop (approx 30 minutes long) prior to sunset to avoid getting caught in darkness setting in. A true hidden gem of Lancaster County! There’s something for everyone here — ice cream, baked goods, drinks, breakfast sandwiches, etc. Our personal favorite is the homemade oatmeal whoopie pies. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the area or are searching for your next favorite shop.
